If you are not happy with your App Store or iTunes purchases, you can request Apple for a refund within 90 days. Sometimes the app or in-app purchase you bought might not work as shown. At times, it may also happen that you or a family member makes a purchase accidentally. In other situations, you can end up buying the wrong thing. Whatever the reason, let me help you to get a refund for iTunes or App Store purchase.
What Happens When You Report a Problem?
When you report a problem, you are presented with different options. They are ‘I’d like to request a refund,’ ‘App fails to install or won’t download,’ ‘App doesn’t work or behave as expected,’ ‘I didn’t authorize this purchase,’ ‘Didn’t receive or unable to find purchase within app.’
Depending on what you select (and other factors), Apple may choose to issue you a refund, redirect you to the app/developer’s website, or take you back to the app or game to re-download it. I believe you are here to request a refund. So, here is what to choose and how to get it. Take a look.
In other words, Apple seems willing to refund App Store 'mistakes,' at least based on a recent experience I had. Just one problem: There's no obvious way to request that refund - until you know. “Apple is drawing criticism for providing ammunition to abusers who benefit from loopholes in their closed mobile application store refund policies,” Yoon Sung-won reports for The Korea Times. If you are unhappy with an App Store purchase on your Mac, iPhone or iPad, you can request a refund from Apple. You can do so thro. To get the process started, open and sign into iTunes on your Mac and then follow these steps to request a refund for an app. 1) Click Store on the top. 2) Select Account on the right under Music Quick Links or click Account View My Account from the menu bar. 3) Enter your Apple ID password when prompted.
How to Get a Refund Using iPhone, iPad, and Mac
Please note that you may see slightly different options in the above steps, depending on whether you are asking a refund for a subscription or a one-time app or media purchase.
An alternate method is to open the purchase receipt email that you received from Apple after buying an app or service. From the bottom of the email, tap on Report a Problem, and follow the on-screen instructions.
After you successfully submit your request, wait for a few days to hear back from Apple. If your refund request is accepted, you will get the money back in your bank account or Apple ID accordingly within a week or so (depending on region and bank rules).
The above steps also work on any computer. Or, if you want, you can use iTunes to request a refund. See below.

How To Refund Apple Apps
If you have purchased an app directly on your Mac from the developer’s website or third-party app marketplace, you will have to contact them, not Apple. Usually, many third-party apps offer a few days as a trial. Or, carry a money-back guarantee for a week, fortnight, or month. Use the ‘contact us’ section of the app or the respective third-party website to raise a refund request.
